The Heartland Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a retail outlet where quality new and used surplus building materials are priced at 20-80% off retail and resold to the public.  All items sold by ReStore are donated building materials and fixtures from individuals, building supply stores, business closeouts, contractors and demolition crews.  Other donations such as quality used and display furniture and appliances in 100% working order are also sold.

The net income is returned to our affiliate to help fund the construction of Habitat houses within the greater Kansas City community.  Many Habitat affiliates across the United States and Canada operate successful ReStores, some of which raise enough funds to build an additional 10 or more houses per year.

ReStore is also environmentally-friendly by re-channeling good and functional materials into use.  When items are donated, hauling and trash disposal costs are eliminated, building materials and other home improvement products are recycled back into the community, and more than 2,000 tons of materials are diverted from Kansas City area landfills yearly.
